How to Make People Like You in 90 Seconds or Less

May 18th, 2012

how to
ReviewThe average person’s attention span lasts about 30 seconds. That means first and immediate impressions count, and big. In this modern-day update of Dale Carnegie’s classic How to Win Friends and Influence People, former fashion photographer Nicholas Boothman instructs you in how to mold those 30 seconds to your greatest advantage and connect with others at business and social functions.

Boothman, now a lecturer and licensed master practitioner of neurolinguistic programming (the art and science of how the brain affects human connections), says that the key to making others like you quickly lies in establishing a rapport: you have to find out what you have in common or, if you seemingly have nothing in common, purposely try to become like the other person for a short time. He then goes on to offer simple techniques for getting a rapport going: adopt a positive attitude; make sure your words, tone, and gestures are all saying the same thing; synchronize your attitude and body movements to those of another person’s (which makes the person feel comfortable with you–although he or she may not know why); and ask lots of open-ended questions. Boothman also describes how to figure out a stranger’s favored sense for receiving information about the world–some rely on visual cues, others on auditory or kinesthetic (touch) input–and use it to your best advantage.

If discovering How to connect with others is the secret to business and life success, as Boothman contends, then employing the strategies in this book will make you instantly likeable and give you a leg up on the competition. –Nancy Monson

How to deflate my hard on when in the pool?

May 18th, 2012

Posted by admin in How to | 8 Comments »

I have a pretty built body and girls sometimes like to cling onto me and touch me in the pool. appropriately of course, but still when they do this, i get fully aroused. How can I prevent this, because when the lifeguard says adult swim, i have to get out of the water……and thats my worst nightmare. Serious answers only. and could it be possible the girls know they are arousing me and doing it on purpose? and they aren’t ugly ; )

I am sure they know exactly what they are doling , and you have obviously let them know it is embarrassing you . Don’t worry about it as all young guys get erections at inappropriate times .It is part of life . What sort of costume do you wear ?? perhaps you would be better using the shorts with inner liner as that holds things more in place . If you get hard though , just ignore it and if anyone comments just ask why they are looking .

Only 3 years old!
For all you commentators and viewers, just to clarify a few things about this video.
This is my half little brother and she is my sister. My mother married a BIG Viking how to So brother looks a little more than 3 years.
The last time we woke him up in the car, he got so grumpy and cranky. And since he loves this kind of music we just had to try a new method. I think there are parents that can recognize this scene.
He is half Norwegian and half Chilean.

Negative or posetive comments, I think it’s fun to read them, we are all so different:)
The language you hear is from Trondheim dialect Norway and Spanish.

Thanks for your attention!

Ps. seat belt is our fault :/
He wakes up playing the drums in his sleep. Very funny!
Eventyrlig måte å våkne opp til Nirvana musikk.

How to stay energized for long periods of time?

May 17th, 2012

Posted by admin in How to | 2 Comments »

I will be working a double shift between my two jobs, from 11pm – 7am and then 9am-5pm. Caffeine works, but it only seems to do the trick 1/4 of the time. Are there any other ways to stay awake and energized other than coffee and red bull?

Try exercise. It releases a hormone in your body that wakes you up and also puts you in a better mood.
Just maybe try running for a bit between shifts.

Make sure you make up for the lack of sleep, too.

How To Lucid Dream

Learning how to lucid dream—that is, to be aware during your dreams that you are, indeed, dreaming—will allow you to live out fantasies, stop nightmares, and even road test some solutions to real life problems.

To complete this How-To you will need:

A dream journal
An alarm clock

Step 1: Start a dream journal

Keep a journal and a pen next to your bed so you can immediately record everything that happens in your dreams. You’ll begin to see patterns, and that will help you realize when you’re actually in the middle of a dream.

Step 2: Adopt some new habits

Look intently at mirrors, book titles, and your watch face several times a day. In dreams, these images are always blurred. Looking at them while awake will increase their appearances in your dreams, helping you recognize when you are dreaming.

Tip: Pinching yourself when you’re awake is another good way to train your brain to recognize when you’re dreaming, because when you pinch yourself in a dream you feel no pain.

Step 3: Talk to yourself

Tell yourself as you drift off to sleep that you’re going to have a lucid dream. Research shows that simply instructing your brain to realize you’re dreaming—especially when you’re in the suggestible pre-sleep phase—helps boost your odds of doing so.

Step 4: Set an early alarm

Set your alarm half an hour earlier than normal. When it rings, stay awake 30 to 60 minutes, then go back to sleep. Because you likely interrupted dream-intense REM sleep, you’re now 20% to 50% more likely to have a lucid dream.

Tip: So George Clooney is about to kiss you and you feel like you’re starting to wake up? Pretend to spin around in circles. This keeps the dream going 96% of the time.

Step 5: Start directing

Once you’re attuned to the fact that you’re dreaming, start altering the action. Fly over mountains. Tell off your mother-in-law. Have a “dream” date. You can also test problem-solving scenarios, practice sensitive confrontations, and speak to loved ones who have passed.
